Cadet Conference

The Institute for Leadership and Strategic Studies (ILSS) provides an excellent opportunity for Cadets to attend and exchange views on international security affairs, military leadership, the profession of arms, and strategic studies in order to broaden their perspectives. These forums are fully-funded, short duration conferences, not-for-credit, that provide UNG Cadets professional development in military exchange and allows Cadets to dialogue and interact with their international Cadet peers throughout the world.

Two cadets will be selected for each location each year. Dates, themes, and activities vary per location. Please see the "Location" section for more details.

Theme

The majority of the International Conferences are "International Cadet Weeks" which provide UNG Cadets the opportunity to interact with multiple international partners. Some conferences/training courses have specific requirements such as the Ski Patrol in Poland, Close Quarter Battle Course in Latvia and the Cyber Conference in Estonia. Please refer to the application for details once you have clicked "apply now."

Academics

All instruction/conference materials will be conducted in English regardless of location. Cadets must write two papers within 10 days of their return. See "Eligibility & Requirements" for more details.

*Some conferences are accompanied by ILSS Staff Member.
