Program Overview

Your CIEE Summer Global Internship program in Seoul lasts 8 weeks and features two key components: a full-time internship with an international organization (approximately 30-40 hours per week) and an internship seminar. Enhance your experience with cultural and extracurricular activities while building career skills, expanding your professional network, and immersing yourself in South Korean culture. Live, learn, and work in Seoul!

Excursions & Activities

CIEE’s excursions and cultural activities in Seoul will open doors for you to explore South Korea’s rich diversity, language, culture, history, contemporary trends, vibrant art, and timeless beauty in ways that will enhance your time abroad.    

Samples of past excursions and activities:

  • Take a day trip to the DMZ to gain insights into the history and geopolitical significance of this border
  • Learn about ceramic making in Mungyeong, a pottery-producing area dating back to the 18th century
  • Visit Gyeongbokgung Palace while wearing traditional Korean clothing (Hanbok)
