Film in Italy
Film in Italy plants students in a picturesque, medieval hilltop village in Tuscany, one of the most famous regions in the world. In this five week program, students learn documentary film production and Italian cinema while exploring the rich art, impressive architecture, and war-torn history of their surroundings.
This program offers students the opportunity to study Neorealism, a foundational film movement in Italy formed in the wake of Mussolini and WWII, while learning the professional, technical, and artistic process of producing a short film abroad. Students will watch and discuss landmark Italian films and travel to the cities of Pisa, Lucca, Florence, and Rome to see everything from Michelangelo's David to the historic Cinecittà Studios.
Accompanied by a UNG Professor with a group of UNG students.
