Cybercrime, Digital and Major Investigations in the UK
This 3 and a half-week summer program allows students to attend the University of Hertfordshire summer school, which will focus on intelligence, cybercrime, and major investigations. This will include immersive critical incident training using the University of Hertfordshire immersive system, as well as access to a crime scene house and a mock Crown Court (the UK version of the District Court). Students will also have the opportunity to conduct field visits to a local Police station, Police Control Room, the Old Bailey Crown Court, and Bow Street Police Museum.
The first 3 weeks at the University of Hertfordshire will be followed by a 5-day examination of police operations of a police force in Southern England (Dorset Police) from a rural and urban perspective. Field visits to armed response, K9, maritime policing, police custody, and criminal investigation units will be provided.
