The purpose of this program is to provide Senior undergraduate Education Majors with opportunities to experience
the Welsh education system and to examine best practices, which can be returned to the American educational
context. Interns will be placed in schools in the town of Aberystwyth. The school placements will be determined
according to the student’s area of specialization and personal interest. The Welsh system differs vastly from the
US system in how instruction is organized. The students will visit multiple schools in the area, write reflections of
their experiences, interview teachers, and take pictures.
