Announcement: Gov't Shutdown, U.S. Passport, and Study Abroad
We have received several inquiries about getting a U.S. passport and the current government shutdown. The Department of State website informs that they are still processing U.S. passports during the shutdown, thus not affecting processing times.
However, if you do not yet have a passport, we HIGHLY recommend getting an expedited passport to ensure you will have it in time for your program. This is particularly important for those attending Spring Break programs. Keep in mind that some airlines will not allow us to book plane tickets without passport numbers.
If you prefer, you can also use the Atlanta Passport Agency for in-person passport applications.
This only pertains to U.S. citizens acquiring a U.S. Passport. Persons from other nationalities should inquire at their respective diplomatic agency (an embassy or a consulate).
If you already have a passport, please disregard this message.
Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions or concerns.
