Health & Safety Resources


The health and safety of students, faculty, and staff is of the utmost importance. UNG regularly monitors and evaluates conditions that may impact student, faculty, and staff travel. CGE takes into consideration information from the following sources:
  • State Department Travel Advisories – UNG generally prohibits UNG students/faculty/staff to travel to countries with a Level 3 or Level 4 Travel Advisory in place.
  • CDC Travel Health Notices
  • Information from partner institutions & local contacts
  • Security information from partners and risk management firms
  • UNG Emergency Response Team

Want to share your education abroad journey and inspire future Nighthawks to follow in your footsteps? Become a Roaming Nighthawk during your time abroad and contribute content to the Center for Global Engagement’s social media channels!
 
Benefits of being a Roaming Nighthawk:
  • Build your resume and creative portfolio for professional endeavors through the content you create.

  • Record your experience in a unique way that will give future students insight into education abroad and will allow you to engage with your own education abroad more fully.

Global Nighthawks
 
Apply To Be a Global Nighthawk!
The Global Nighthawk Program is a CGE peer advising program created to facilitate support and encouragement for prospective study abroad students. Global Nighthawks are resources for students applying to study abroad, and can provide assistance throughout the initial inquiry and application processes. Global Nighthawks answer questions and provide assistance by participating in outreach and recruitment activities.
